After six years of hosting the Mental Health for All (MH4A) Conference, CMHA National has decided not to host a conference in 2022.

First held in Toronto in 2016, the MH4A Conference has been a key mental health gathering in Canada. Usually an in-person event, the conference was held virtually in 2020 and 2021.

The pandemic has prompted reflection on the purpose and value of conferences in general, just as it has shifted how organizations come together to interact, learn, and grow. With that in mind, we are taking this moment to pause and reflect on what our conference could be and to ask some important questions. For instance: How can this national conference advance our vision of mental health as a human right? How does this conference serve the mental health sector in a meaningful and impactful way? What might a conference look like in the new hybrid world?

We will be reflecting on these questions in the coming months. If you have input you would like to share, we would love to include it. Write us at conference@cmha.ca.
