About the Session:
CMHA Ontario states that 77% of trans people have seriously considered suicide. As a mental health agency, we’ve got some work to do. Researchers from Western University report that trans individuals who feel socially supported experience reduced suicidal ideation and attempts. The presenters have been advocating for the trans/ non-binary community at their branch since last year. In this workshop, they will provide tangible strategies to implement at your agency to make it more inclusive.
