About the Session:
This workshops is based on a Healthy Minds and the Mighty blog post I wrote that ponders the question, is a person required to prove their mental illness in different ways in order to be deemed “sick enough” for society? Stigma and shame reduction are a cornerstone of this presentation and discussion.
Lori Lane-Murphy is passionate mental health advocate and spends much of her time storytelling and performing stories that draw audiences into the conversation of mental health in a positive and safe way. She is a professional speaker and facilitator as well as a producer of a storyteller show All in Our Heads in Toronto (all proceeds support the work of Art with Impact)
