Evonne is a Registered Yoga Teacher, specializing in yoga and mindfulness for mental wellness and addiction recovery. With lived experience, her regular yoga practice was fundamental in her ability to overcome struggles with anxiety and depression.
Evonne has trained with The Yoga of Recovery, Yoga of 12-Step Recovery and LifeForce Yoga for Depression and Anxiety. She runs independent wellness and recovery groups, as well as teaching with CHMA Middlesex, Y12SR and GoodLife Fitness.
As a person in long-term recovery, Evonne promotes a holistic, healthy lifestyle approach to mental health and addiction. In her work life, personal life and volunteering within the community, she is a strong advocate for mental health awareness.
Focusing on the relationship between mood management and the mind-body connection, sessions offer a combination of breathing, movement, postures, mindfulness and music. Participants will explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of a yoga practice. Classes are for all levels; ideal for beginners while offering more challenging options for regular practitioners.
