About the Session:
10 years after its beginning our project of looking at interactions between first responders and people in a mental health crisis is still going strong. In the presentation we will discuss how we achieved buy in from many groups in the community. How unique partnerships were developed. How innovative solutions were developed to meet the challenges we discovered and changed the relationships within our community.
Mary Lu Spagrud is the Manager of Education and Projects for CMHA – Prince George. She works closely with first responders in her community providing training on understanding and engaging with person with mental illness. She has 26 years professional experience working in the field of Mental Health.
